William Pursehouse & Josiah Tonks in the parish of Clocaenog on 9 December 1801 forged and uttered certain Bank notes for £10 to defraud the Bank of England (WALES 4/66/5).  According to the Salopian Journal Wednesday 28 April they were both left for execution.  No reprieves found nor any account of an execution.
